Lions Club of Bright

The Lions Club of Bright is a not-for-profit service club operating in the Bright and District area.
The club became involved in the Wandi Nut Festival helping to establish and support the event when it moved to a one day festival some years ago. The Club has remained involved ever since.
For the Lions Club this event has become a major fundraising opportunity through operating the Club’s market stall selling fairy floss, snow cones, hot dogs and drinks during the day. Our product is of the highest quality which is the result of many years operating our stall throughout the district.
Proceeds from these fundraising activities enable the club to assist the community, young and old plus other organisations throughout the year.
We have also provided train rides for the children on our little train with donations made for this attraction being offered to the festival organisers to help offset their running costs.
On the day of the event Lions man the gate entry points collecting gate entry donations on behalf of the Nut Festival committee. Whilst this is a big commitment requiring input from all club members it is very satisfying that or role enables the festival to continue as an annual event. The club has been supported in this activity by community members who have been assisted by the club at various times, so it is very much a community effort.
Supporting the Lions Club of Bright at this event is supporting our local community
